The Platinum 3776 Nice Lavende fountain pen has been inspired by lavender flowers from Nice, France. Nice is a world-renowed resort city with early summer being the most beautiful season with blooming fields of lavender.
The pen features a gorgeous lavender color with rose gold trim. It uses a cartridge converter style pen fitted with a 14k gold nib. The pen comes in a luxury gift box and the first 3,000 pens are individually numbered.

It is a cartridge converter style fountain pen, so included is an ink converter and an ink cartridge. This is a proprietary cartridge, so Platinum pens will only accept a Platinum cartridge, but with a converter you can always use bottled inks as well. Platinum also makes a pretty neat item, a small adapter add to their pens or put the adapter on and then use a standard international cartridge as well.
Beautiful purple color on the cap and barrel of the pen with a transparent, somewhat opaque, not completely transparent cap and barrel. There is vertical lines that run through the cap and barrel and it has a matte finish on the pen. A rose gold color on the trim with a small ring at the top with the rose gold clip and a larger rose gold ring at the bottom of the cap. It has Century Platinum Made in Japan 3776 Century engraved on it. Then on the bottom of the barrel of the pen, a matching ring as well.
The cap is threaded and unscrews. You can post the cap on the pen and it posts nicely. It has a matching purple section with the rest of the pen. The section is a little bit smoother or a more glossy finish than the matte finish on the rest of the pen. The pen has been fitted with a 14 karat gold nib with the same rose gold color to match the rest of the trim with the Platinum and 3776 logos graved. Black feed on the backside of the pen or the nib, and then the section will unscrew from the front of the pen where you can insert the cartridge or the converter for the pen.
The Platinum 3776 Nice Lavende fountain pen comes with the "Slip and Seal" mechanism that Platinum has developed. A small spring inside with an inner cap. So when you put the cap on the pen the inner cap compresses down on to the section of the pen and keeps the nib sealed and the ink fresh longer, keeping the pen from drying out. Great design. A gorgeous pen. The color is probably the best shade of violet I've ever seen in a pen. The design is great as the ridges provide a great tactile experience just holding the pen. The nib will be great for some and so so for others. The flow and function is perfect out of the box but again, it's a very tactile writing experience. Kind of like a freshly sharpened pencil where you can feel the texture of the paper as you write. Some will love it while others will want a buttery smooth experience.

This is my second 3776 Nice - I have the Lilas and had to have this Lavande when I saw it. The nib is awesome - springy and perfect. The pen feels well made. And it is stunningly beautiful.
