The Delta Dolcevita Masterpiece fountain pen is new to the Dolcevita collection for 2015. Made with the same craftsmanship Delta is known for in the traditional Dolcevita colors but with a whole new "twist". The orange and black have become a hallmark of the Delta brand and specifically the Dolcevita collection. The Delta Masterpiece collection is a result of new materials and the black and orange resin truly makes each pen unique. The Delta Dolcevita Masterpiece, a "masterpiece" of the highest craftsmanship.
The Delta Dolcevita Masterpiece fountain pen comes with Delta’s Converter plus system which operates like a piston filler but can accept starndard universal cartridge ink.

Included with the Delta Masterpiece fountain pen is a bottle of Delta black - or actually blue - fountain pen ink. And the pen comes in a clamshell-style box with a soft velvet exterior. Included with the pen is the warranty use and care guide. It has a certificate of authenticity - just information about the pen.
The pen clamshell-style box lifts open, has that same velvet interior. Information about Delta inside as well. And it has the Delta logo and Dolce Vita logo on the underside of the lid. And this is the Delta Dolce Vita Masterpiece fountain pen. It has a black and orange resin. These patterns just swirl together in a beautiful glossy finish. Chrome color accents on the pen.
On the top of the cap is the small medallion with the Delta logo. It has a large chrome colored clip. There is a small, thin band - you can hardly see it - that attaches that clip to the barrel of the pen or the cap of the pen. On the backside - Delta Dolcevita Masterpiece, and on the bottom it has Italy mid-size.
It has a thicker - looks like a sterling silver - band with a small chrome band and it has a chrome band between the cap of the barrel as well. And at the very bottom of the barrel, a small chrome band and just the resin tip or end to the barrel of the pen. The cap is threaded and unscrews and can be posted on the pen. This is the same size as the other Delta Dolcevita mid-size. So if you prefer, you can use the pen with or without the cap posted.
The section on the barrel of the pen is the same orange and black resin. The nib on this pen - you can either get the Delta fusion nib - this happens to be the 14 carat gold version of the nib, so you can get either the solid gold or the Delta fusion. You can see the Delta logo engraved on the nib with other engravings and on the back side of the pen you can see the feed for the pen.
This is a cartridge converter style pen, so to change the ink you unscrew the section from the barrel of the pen and it will come with a Delta ink converter, so you can use the bottle inks that are included or any ink that you would prefer.
