Guaranteed Quality
Each Delta Amerigo Vespucci Limited Edition Fountain Pens we sell is guaranteed to be genuine, authentic and will arrive brand new & unused!
Included with the pen is a bottle of Delta fountain pen ink with the Amerigo Vespucci branding on it. And then of course, we have the actual pen. Now, this pen was designed after the navigator. Amerigo Vespucci was an Italian navigator and later, an actual ship was named after him and so a lot of the elements within the pen come from the ship as well as the navigator.
This is a boatswain weasel depicting a part of the ship. And on the top of the cap, we have an actual depiction of the ship in sterling silver. It has the number of the pen. If you look, there are 931 of these available. It has a black resin cap on the top.
The actual cap though is made from wood. The wood is taken from the actual ship. So each one of the caps are going to be unique and slightly different. Then, between the wood portion of the cap and the black resin at the bottom is a sterling silver, looks like a rope pattern on it. And then on the barrel is a nice thick band with Amerigo Vespucci raised in that band of sterling silver. On the barrel of the pen is actually engraved into a Delta Italy Amerigo Vespucci limited edition with the Delta logo and then once again that same rope style sterling silver band here running around the bottom of the barrel. And then at the very bottom of the barrel is a black resin cap. The cap on the pen unscrews and can be posted. It's a little heavy. That wood is quite heavy, so kind of puts a lot of weight on the end of the pen. I think I'd prefer to use this pen without it posted and just without the cap on.
You can see the nib. It's a gold nib. It has the Delta logo and some other engravings on the nib. It's a cartridge converter style pen, so to change the ink you unscrew that grip section from the barrel. And this is the ink converter that's included with the pen. It also will take a standard universal cartridge. So if you'd like to use ink cartridges rather than bottled inks you can do that.
It's a great looking fountain pen. I really like how they use actual wood from the ship. It's a great pen. Get your Delta Amerigo Vespucci limited edition fountain pen at PenChalet.com.
