This is the chrome or the chase chrome version of the Sheaffer 300 ballpoint pen. This version is an all metal cap and barrel, a little bit heavier pen. It's a nice sturdy pen with chrome accents. So we have a chrome cap on the top of the pen. And as you can see that clip wraps all the way around the pen. So it has a hinged top to it. The clip opens nice and wide. At the top of the clip we have a trademark Sheaffer white dot. On the center band of the pen we have the Sheaffer logo engraved there in the middle. A nice thick band. And as you can see the top cap and the bottom of the barrel just has that vertical etched or chased pattern on the pen. And then it has a plain chrome tip to the pen.
To extend or retract the refill on the pen you simply...it's a twist action. You simply twist that cap. And then you twist it backwards, in a counterclockwise direction to retract that. If you continue to twist that direction you can remove the cap from the barrel and replace the ink on the pen which is real easy to do. And then simply screw that cap back on once you're done exchanging the ink refill.
